First Communion

“The Eucharistic is the heart and summit of the Church’s life, for in it Christ unites his church and all its members to his sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving offered once for all on the cross to his father; through this sacrifice , He pours out the graces of salvation upon His body, which is the Church”. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1391–1396).

“Communion increases our union with Christ. Receiving the Eucharist in Communion has as its principal fruit the intimate union with Christ Jesus. Indeed, the Savior says: “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him” (John 6:56). Life in Christ finds its foundation in the Eucharistic banquet: “Just as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so the one who eats me will live because of me” (John 6:57).
