“The Catechism reminds us that through baptism, Christians are transformed into children of God and called to live according to the dignity that this grace bestows. Life in Christ is not simply about following rules, but about responding to God’s love with a life marked by holiness and communion.
It emphasizes that believers must be guided by the Holy Spirit, who strengthens them to overcome sin and grow in true freedom. Christian morality is understood as a new life in Christ, reflecting the light of the Gospel in thoughts, words, and actions.
These passages also insist that Christian life is a universal vocation: all the baptized are called to the perfection of charity, to imitate Christ, and to live as children of the light. Catechesis teaches that this life is nourished by prayer, the sacraments, and the practice of virtues.
Finally, it is recalled that the Christian journey is demanding but full of hope, because Christ Himself accompanies and sustains His disciples. Life in Christ is, ultimately, a participation in divine life that is manifested in love and in witness before the world”. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, §§1691–1697)
